The base structure is for large inherently-rigid facade plates (1), particularly sandwich panels. These have flanges (4) on the inside, by which they are suspended on nodal plates (5). The latter are inturned fixed on the inside to the building, and are adjustable in the plane of the facade and also at right angles to it, having two top panel supports (9), spaced apart in the horizontal direction, for the flanges. Each nodal plate has two bottom panel-holders, spaced apart in the horizontal direction, also a vertical profiled channel in between, open to the outside. Each facade plate has a suspension flange at each corner, its two bottom ones engaging with top supports on adjacent plates, while its top ones engage with bottom supports on two adjacent plates. A vertical profiled joint-section is fixed in the channel, forming an overlapping joint with the facade plates. USE/ADVANTAGE - The joint width between the plates is variable as desired.
