PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic fluid recorder using a multistylus from being affected by the concentration of magnetic fluid by the adoption of such a system wherein a magnetic fluid recovering means is caused to operate when the head between a storage tank and a stylus is made smaller than that at the time of recording by means of a head control means. CONSTITUTION:When a recorder resumes recording after it has been left unused for a long time, first of all a storage tank 5 is raised by causing a pinion 22 to rotate and the head H between the tank and the top end of a stylus 1 is made smaller to disturb the maintained balance of a magnetic fluid 9, and the magnetic fluid 9 is pushed up to A in the vicinity of the top end of the stylus 1 and simultaneously a voltage is applied to a suction electrode 14, and at the same time a suction pump 17 is caused to operate and concentrated magnetic fluid 9 in the vicinity A of the top end is sucked and recovered from a suction hole 15 and magnetic fluid which is not concentrated 9 is supplied to the vicinity of the top end of the stylus 1. After a specified period of time, the tank is returned to the head H required for bulging and the impression of a voltage to the suction electrode 14 and the operation of the suction pump 17 are turned OFF, and by this, the bulging of the top end of the stylus 1 is recovered and stable recording free from the influence of concentration can be carried out. |
