<p>PURPOSE:To correct the skew of the sheet in the condition where a sheet is held between a pair of resist rollers by providing a rotating means which turns a carrying means according to the inclination amount of a member to be transferred detected by a detecting means and corrects the inclination of the member to be transferred. CONSTITUTION:When the leading edge of the paper P is detected by a paper position sensor 52 after the leading edge of a paper P is detected by a paper position sensor 51, a distance delta can be recognized from drive pulse number of a pulse motor 58 after detecting the edge by the paper position sensor 51 until detecting the edge by the paper position sensor 52. The mutual distance (l) between the paper position sensors 51 and 52 is constant so that the inclina tion theta of the paper can be determined from the distance (l) and the drive pulse number. When the inclination theta of the paper is determined, the pulse motor 65 is driven according to the inclination theta. Consequently, the resist rolls 17 are turned in the direction for correcting skew of the paper P. Therefore, skew can be corrected by the resist rolls 17 with pinching the paper.</p> |
