In a paper sheet conveyor inclined nozzles (10) are incorporated above or below the conveying surface (7). Over the width of the sheet (8) each nozzle is associated with a further nozzle (10.2) producing an air jet at an angle between 180 deg. and 0 deg. to the first jet. The nozzles are arranged to produced closed polygonal air streams adjoining rows of jets to produce aerodynamic suction and a supporting effect. USE/ADVANTAGE - Contactless transport of printed sheets in printing machine.
