FLUORESCENT TYPE ELECTROPHORESIS-PATTERN READING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To perform the reading of an electrophoresis pattern efficiently by a fluorescent method by separating an electrophoresis unit and reading unit wherein a migrating part unit that has conducted electrophoresis is mounted and the electrophoresis pattern is read. CONSTITUTION:An electrophoresis unit 1 and a reading unit 6 are separated. Thus the entire apparatus is constituted. A migrating part unit (migrating part) is mounted in the electrophoresis unit 1. A fragment of sample which is an electrophoresis is supplied from above gel in the migrating part 5. A migrating voltage is applied to a first electrode 2a and a second electrode 2b from a power source 4 for electrophoresis. Thus the electrophoresis is performed. Then, the migrating part 5 which has conducted the electrophoresis in the electrophore sis unit 1 is removed and mounted in the reading unit 6. In the reading unit 6, the migrating part 5 which has conducted electrophoresis is mounted in the intact state (or in the state of gel which is taken out of the migrating part 5), and the electrophoresis pattern is read. Then the data are processed.
