Gas electrostatic cleaning system - has linkage driven hammer operating against striker at bottom edge of screen

A gas scrubbing system has two sets of electrostatic screens to remove dust particles, e.g. carbon, and some gaseous impurities. The first screen is dry and the second screen is sprayed with moisture from the top. The moisture is collected under the filter screens, along with dust. The second set of filter screens is knocked mechanically, at set intervals, to shake off the particles. The knocking is provided by a linkage driven hammer (23) operating against a striker (46) at the bottom edge of the screen. The knocking rate is once every 20 to 120 minutes, for every separate screen. ADVANTAGE - Improved scrubbing and gas removal.
