The machine for stripping the bark from tree boles has a cylinder trimmer (2) with a rotary cutter adjustable for height and diameter to suit different boles. Rollers load and drive the boles through the machine, and bark ejecting mechanism removes the bark from the machine. There are holding plates on either side of the bole, which are connected to the front and rear rollers (32,34;33,35) by a control rod.
