The output (14) of the filter capacitor (12) is connected to the input (26) of a diode circuit (28) via an inverting wide-band amplifier (20). The diode circuit comprises four diodes (30,31,32, 33) switched in series. The cathode (35) of each diode is connected to the anode (36) of its neighbour to form two diode pairs connected in anti-parallel. The connecting leads between these diode pairs are connected to earth via smoothing capacitors (43,44). The output (38) of the diode circuit is fed back to the output of the filter capacitor. USE/ADVANTAGE- Separating and measuring signal in range 10mHz to 2MHz. Overall time constant is variable.
