The auxiliary step (20) is fitted on a lorry. The step surface (1) acts as an aid to entering the driver's cab of the goods vehicle, and is swivel mounted beneath the driver's door. The auxiliary step has a leading sloping surface (13) set at an obtuse angle whose upper horizontal end is joined by means of a swivel linkage (2) to the vehicle cab. USE/ADVANTAGE - Auxiliary step of simple design and reliable operation which is automatically stowed away during travel.
