摘要 PURPOSE: To efficiently amplify light by adjusting the angle of the arrangement of an optical amplifier and a grating, so as to reflect light to the outside of the optical amplifier. CONSTITUTION: Positive voltage is applied to a P-type electrode 58 and negative voltage is applied to an N-type electrode 36. Holes are impregnated into an active layer 44 from this electrode 58 and on the other hand, a clad layer 40 is provided with a barrier. Similarly, electrons are impregnated into the active layer from the electrode 36. Then a threshold value current generates population inversion to amplify an incident light beam by the induced emission of photons. The photons generated in the active layer 44 are emitted to a wave guiding layer 50 and is incident to a second grating 18. Then the photons are emitted to the wave guiding layer 50 as a non-vertical beam 22, etc. In this case, a grating element 18 is arranged in a previously fixed angle, so as to be not vertical to an optical axis and the angle of the arrangement of the optical amplifier, and the grating is adjusted to reflect light to the outside of the optical amplifier.
