Polyurethane composition for organic glasses, characterised in that it comprises: a first constituent consisting of an at least difunctional polyisocyanate, and a second constituent consisting of an acyclic saturated monomer carrying at least three functional groups reactive towards isocyanates to form carbamate bonds, among which reactive functional groups at least 40% of their number are mercaptan groups -SH, the proportion of the said reactive functional groups being at least 45% on a mass basis relative to the molecular mass of the said monomer.
