<p>The invention relates to an electrolyte circulation type cell 1, 2, 3 stack secondary battery of the construction in which the electrolytes are circulated in a parallel manner. In order to absorb small shunt currents, an electrode 65, 66 is arranged in the vicinity of catholyte inlet and outlet channels at the low-potential-side one of the secondary cells and the electrodes are connected to the cathode terminal 18 of the cell stack secondary battery. Additionally an auxiliary anolyte manifold is provided with further electrode means 86 associated with the anode terminal of the cell stack; the electrodes being operatively inter-connected to reduce shunt currents.</p> |
