The linear bearing accommodates a shaft (6) in an axial bore (7) in a housing with radial slots. These accommodate ball-bearings (3) whose inner races are a close fit on a guide (15, 16), while their outer races turn freely. The outer surfaces of the latter are shaped to fit against the shaft. The guide is ring-shaped, fittingm in an annular groove.
