It comprises a support body 1, a device 2 for introducing the wire 9, a cutter/bender 3 which slides via the aforesaid body 1, an impeller 6 which slides via the inside of the cutter/bender 3 and an oscillating die (striking plate) 7 in which the staple 8 takes shape, and it is characterized in that the impeller 6 comprises a longitudinal groove 11 in which is introduced one end 12 of the die 7 in order to allow its other end 10 to be in a low position, and the step of the guide surface of the body 1 of the head which acts on a key (wedging piece) 5 which produces the entrainment between the impeller 6 and the cutter/bender 3 is formed by a detachable piece 13 fixed to the aforesaid body 1. The introducer device 2 has the inner hole 18 for guiding the wire 9 off-centre in order to allow regulation of the entry position of the wire 9. Applicable especially to the manufacture of wooden boxes. <IMAGE>
