<p>A temperature detection device for an electromagnetic clutch comprises output circuit operation detection means (5) for detecting an output terminal voltage (Va, Vb) of the clutch (4) and a current feedback signal corresponding to a clutch current, and clutch current calculation means (2) which respond to running control information (SD) and engine control information (SE) for providing a clutch current instruction signal (SI) and a clutch open signal (So), and respond to the clutch output terminal voltage (Va, Vb) feedback from the means (5) for calculating a clutch voltage (Va-Vb). The means (2) uses the clutch voltage (Va-Vb) and the clutch current to calculate a clutch resistance and thereby calculate a clutch temperature (t) and the signal (SI). The device includes clutch current control means (1) responsive to the deviation between the signal (SI) and the current feedback signal and the open signal (So) for controlling the current of the clutch. The means (5) may detect both an output terminal voltage of the clutch (Va-Vb) and a source voltage (Vdc). The means (2) may be responsive to both the voltage (Va-Vb) and the source voltage (Vdc) and responsive to the clutch current instruction value given by the clutch current instruction signal (SI) for calculating the clutch resistance. <IMAGE></p> |
