PURPOSE:To obtain an organic electrolyte battery which shows small voltage drop in the initial stage of discharge, i.e., small voltage delay even in high rate discharge by adding tetraalkylsilane into an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:By adding tetraalkylsilane into an electrolyte, silicon elements in the tetraalkylsilane are adsorbed on the surface of a negative electrode at certain intervals through alkyl groups to decrease the formation of a film on the surface of the negative electrode. Access of moisture, solvent, and impurities which react with the negative electrode to form the film on the surface of the negative electrode to the surface of the negative electrode during storage is decreased. It is preferable that at least one of alkyl groups in the tetraalkylsilane has three or more carbon atoms. The content of tetraalkylsilane in the electrolyte is 0.1-10vol.%, preferably 0.5-4vol.%. |
