PURPOSE:To make the back-and-forth motion of a lift unit unnecessary by allowing both ends of a conveyor main body to be moved and stopped at an intermediate position on a lift unit not interfering with a conveyed object. CONSTITUTION:An unloading point F or a loading point A is provided at a position exceeding a fixed pitch by a fixed length from a work point provided at a fixed pitch along a shuttle conveyor 1 main body moving back and forth. The shuttle conveyor 1 main body is controlled to perform a motion that it is moved by a fixed pitch L, positioned, and stopped; a motion that it is moved by a fixed length, positioned, and stopped; and a motion that both ends of the shuttle conveyor 1 main body are moved and stopped at an intermediate stop position on a conveyed object loading/unloading lift unit 2 not interfering with the conveyed object. Accordingly, the back-and-forth motion of the lift unit 2 is made unnecessary, the drive unit of the shuttle conveyor main body is provided with a buffer function, and also it allows the high-speed movement of the shuttle conveyor main body together with a positioning stop unit 40. |
