<p>Circular cover pieces with fitted plates serve to heat and vulcanise the tyre walls extensively. The covers should be cavity walled to allow steam heating to be provided inside them. An insulator plate near the inside edge of the covers is as wide as the tyre bead, and the covers have recesses to take tyre imprint plates which form the impression on the tyre wall during the vulcanising operation.</p> |
