Complementary shock-absorbing device for motorcycles and the like, said motorcycles being of the type whose suspension is arranged in the telescopic legs of the forks of the front wheel and is of reduced efficiency, characterized in that it eliminates the bouncing (rebound) produced by said suspension after the vehicle has encountered a change in level or an obstacle, which affects its stability. To this end, said device is based on a hydraulic cylinder 1 arranged in parallel to the side of one of the legs of the forks 13 and secured via its ends, by means of suitable elements 7, 8, to the support of the aforesaid telescopic leg, respectively; the rod 15 of the cylinder 1 may be protected by a jacket 26 secured via one end to the front end region of said rod, said jacket 26 having a larger diameter than the tube 2 of the cylinder 1 in order to be able to slide over it when said cylinder is compressed. <IMAGE>
