A dispensing valve for a pressurized carbonated slush-ice-beverage has a body 16 with a bore 22 in which is rotatably mounted a cylindrical plug with a flow passage 25 that communicates with a passage 24 in the valve body. A V-slot 32 in the side of the inner end of passageway 25 causes frothing of the beverage when the valve is only slightly open. Circular seals 26, 27 and integral longitudinal seals 28, 29 surround -the end of passage 24 when the valve is closed to prevent seepage of beverage. The plug is removably mounted in the bore 22 and is held therein by the abutment of the removable handle 14 and the shoulder 23 with the respective ends of the bore. A nut 18 clamps the valve body to the beverage container wall 15, a key 21 preventing relative rotation. |
