A PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING BONDING AGENT AND A PROCESS FOR FORMING RECONSOLIDATED WOOD PRODUCT Process and apparatus for introducing bonding agent in an improved manner to flexible open lattice work web of naturally interconnected wood strands, a substantial proportion of which are substantially discrete but incompletely separated from each other. The web with bonding agent applied may be compressed above or with others to form a reconsolidated wood product. The application of bonding agent is performed using at least one applying roller pair (102, 104) in which one or more rollers is corrugated to thereby allow better infiltration of the agent. Squeeze rollers (118) advantageously remove excess bonding agent. The applying rollers are preferably disposed in a bath (126) and the bonding agent, for example a foam, may be applied in the bath to be carried upstream by the rotation of the applying rollers. Conveniently a shroud (148) is provided beneath the applying rollers to guide bonding agent upstream.
