The invention concerns a device for inserting a pull wire 15 into a cable conduit and for drawing a cable through the abovementioned conduit using the pull wire. The device comprises a telescopic pipe 2 at one end of which there is a housing 3 for a reel bobbin 12 and at the other end of which there is a nozzle 1 intended to be inserted in the conduit. The telescopic pipe is provided with a front brake 11 and the back brake 9 which are arranged to operate on the pull wire when the telescopic pipe is drawn out or compressed in such a way that the pull wire moves in the required direction. <IMAGE>
