The isolator is applied in the case of instantaneous switch-over of high current circuits and commanding of digital program control systems. It offers a simplified design, facilitating the assembly of its components. The isolator has a cylindrical body (1) at the upper part with a socket and a movable pusher (2) mounted in it, the upper end of which is a button (21) and the lower end is in the shape of a rod (22). Several contact elements (3) are positioned one over the other at the lower end of the body (1) with moving (91,92) and fixed (5) contacts. Along the axis of the contact elements (3) is a cylindrical orifice (6) and a base (12) is fixed under the contact elements (3) containing a return spring (13) fixed firmly at one end and movable at the lower end by a reversed cup-shaped body (14). The contact elements (3) are designed as a body with hollow jacket (4) comprising two identical half-shells, forming a single element. The contact carrier (7) is inserted through the cylindrical orifice (6) with a pad (8) on its apex, where the fixed contact arms (91,92) are mounted and their protrusions (10) are fixed at one end by a toroidal spring (11) to the contact carrier (7) and thus the apex of the pad (8) touches the reversed cup-shaped body (14).
