A gas cutting torch for fusion-cutting such materials as steel frames or iron plates is equipped with a pilot fire port in the vicinity of a main cutting tip. The pilot fire port is ignited by means of an ignition unit and this causes in turn ignition of the main cutting tip. In a manual embodiment of the invention, a switch is provided which simultaneously applies the ignition spark to the pilot fire port and opens the pilot fire valve allowing gas to the pilot fire part. |
