Process for protecting and consolidating stony materials

The surfaces of stony materials, tiles, cement conglomerates and related manufactured articles are protected from the action of atmospheric agents and pollutants by applying onto said surfaces a protective material comprising a mixture of a vinylidene fluoride homo- or copolymer containing 55-100% by moles of vinylidene fluoride, 0-45% by moles of hexafluoropropene and 0-30% by moles of tetrafluoroethylene and an aqueous microemulsion or emulsion of certain (per)fluoropolyethers. Said mixtures are applied by conventional methods.
