PURPOSE:To totalize a tax amount with high efficiency by classifying whether the amount written into each transaction amount entry part includes a tax or not based on the contents of the section entry part read by a machine reading means. CONSTITUTION:A machine reading means reads the contents of the section entry parts 8a - 8c set opposite to the transaction amount entry parts 7a - 7c respectively. Then a taxation subject section means classifies whether the amounts written in the parts 7a - 7c include the taxes or not based on the read contents of the parts 8a - 8c. Based on the result of the decision, the tax amounts are calculated by an arithmetic means. At the same time, an output means outputs the tax amounts and the entry contents of a slip and the prescribed items related to the entry contents as necessary. As a result, the same form can be applied to the slips of the same type and at the same time the tax amounts are totalized with high efficiency. |
