The present invention relates to a cutting tool comprising a holder 10, a bearing plate 11, which bears against a bottom surface 18 and a lateral support 19 in a cutting position in the holder 10, the bearing plate 11 having a continuous hole 16 in which there is received a pipe screw 22 which is anchored by an external thread in a bore 21 in the holder 10, and the pipe screw anchors the bearing plate 11 in the cutting position as the result of interaction between a collar 23 of the pipe screw 22 and a step 20 in the hole 16, an indexable insert 12 being fitted on top of the bearing plate 11 and being anchored in the holder by means of a locking screw 24;24', the threaded shank 25 of which is in engagement with an internal thread of the pipe screw 22. The object of the invention is to achieve a perfectly good anchorage of the bearing plate 11 in the cutting position. The distinguishing characteristic of the invention is that the pipe screw 22 slants in towards the lateral support 19 in the direction from the indexable insert 12 towards the bearing plate 11. <IMAGE> |
