This device is noteworthy in that it comprises a support means 2 13-20 externally or internally exhibiting a frustoconical profile allowing initial positioning of an elastically deformable circlip 1; the said means being offered up and centred on the component 3-11-17 exhibiting one or more grooves 3.1, 11.1, 17.1; a carrying block 8-15-22 receiving a thrust means 9-14-23 coming to bear on the flat part of the circlip and applying a downward thrust on the circlip along the frustoconical profile of the support means; the said block pushing the circlip in the deformed state as far as above the housing groove allowing elastic release of the circlip and its insertion into the corresponding groove. <IMAGE>
