A herbicidal composition comprises an N, N-disubstituted-α, α-diphenyl-acetamide of formula:- wherein 'R 1 and R 2 are C 1 to C 3 alkyl or C 3 or C 4 alkenyl, together with 4, 6-dinitro-o-secbutyl phenol dissolved in a C 1 to C 3 chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent, e.g. chloroform or methylene dichloride. The compositions preferably are applied as emulsions in water containing surfactant. Optional ingredients are humectants, anti-foaming agents and corrosion inhibitors. |
