PURPOSE:To obtain a coating composition which gives a film having a refractive index as low as 1.30 to 1.45 by mixing fine particles of magnesium fluoride or calcium fluoride, a polymerizable organic compound, and a photopolymerization initiator as solid matter of a coating film. CONSTITUTION:A coating composition curable by actinic radiation, which consists of 10-70wt.% fine particles (A) of magnesium fluoride and/or calcium fluoride, having a particle diameter of 1-50mum, and 90-30wt.% component (B) consisting of a polymerizable organic compound and a photopolymerization initiator. It is necessary that at least 40wt.% of said polymerizable organic compound comprises a polyfundtional monomer or prepolymer having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups in the molecule. The coating composition thus obtained gives a transparent resin molding with low surface reflectance, can be dyed with a disperse dye, and can retain high surface hardness. |
