PURPOSE:To prevent an electrolyte from leaking and to lower a cost of a product by containing an electric double layer capacitor element which has been formed by a process by which the electrolyte is dripped on an upper-side polarization electrode and a separator and a lower-side polarization electrode are impregnated with the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A collector 5 is stretched and installed at the rear surface side of a gasket 4; polarization electrodes 3 which have been pasted on both faces of a separator 2 by using an adhesive and which have been confronted are inserted into the gasket 4; an electric double layer capacitor semi-assembled body 1a is formed. During this process, the upper-side polarization electrode 3 is pressurized by using a press; the polarization electrodes 3 are brought into close contact with the separator 2; impurities and the like are removed from a fine hole between the polarization electrodes 3 and the separator 2 in a reduced pressure state. Then, when an electrolyte A is dripped onto the upper-side polarization electrode 3, the electrolyte A quickly permeates into the polarization electrodes 3; the electrolyte A which has reached the separator 2 by a capillary phenomenon at a close contact part by the press between the polarization electrodes 3 and the separator 2 spreads and permeates into the lower-side polarization electrode 3 through the fine hole at the separator. Thereby, a stable liquid-absorbing property is obtained; an impregnation time can be greatly shortened and cost of a product can be reduced. |
