PURPOSE:To facilitate the design of the test program of a microprocessor by providing a test instruction for diagnosing the micro processor apart from a normal processor instruction executing a high speed processing by means of a pipe line processing. CONSTITUTION:The microprocessor is constituted by including a micro sequence control part 10, a micro instruction execution control part 13, an instruction fetch part 51, an instruction decoding part 52 and a data operation part 56. At a normal mode, the instruction is processed at high speed by a pipe line action. When a test is conducted, a test-only instruction is executed and respective function blocks in an internal part are diagnosed at a private mode. Thus, the design of the test program is facilitated. |
