A machining table 202 for a lathe includes a plurality of elements forming vices 103, 103a, set out on radii and evenly distributed. The vices 103, 103a are operated by means of a device with an eccentric 117-120. The component 101 is clamped by pinching between two jaws 107, 109 of each vice 103. One of the jaws 109 is associated with an element forming a push rod 109a with which it interacts at two inclined faces. Three vices 103a centre the component 101 and six vices 103 clamp the component 101 as well as holding it bearing perpendicularly to the table 202. <IMAGE>
