The front/sides of a drawer are hollow sections filled with foam, pref. a polyurethane. The walls of the section are pref. metal and the drawer is produced by filling them with foam or with foaming reaction mix; the walls can be fixed together in various ways. Drawer consists essentially of vertical walls (20,22) and two cross-pieces (24,26). The one side (20) is projected downwards to a right angle (28) which, together with the upper projecting web (30), holds the floor of the drawer. The other side also forms a lower space (34) for fitting to a rail. The top has a feature (25). The foam infill can be rigid or elastic/soft type. Other cross-sections,r open or enclosed, can also be made; the metal profile can be filled with partly expanded foam and then closed off while the foam is allowed to expand further. |
