HEAD GIMBAL FLEXURE ASSEMBLY A unified head assembly for a hard disk drive which allows the disk drive unit to be packaged in a smaller volume. The head assemblies between platters are mounted side-by-side and are combined into a single unit sharing a common base. This reduces the distance between platters, thereby conserving space.
