PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image by carrying out reversal development through the use of a developer having the same polarity as an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is rotated in an arrow direction, the periphery of the photosensitive drum 1 is corona-electrified by a electrifying charger 2. This electrification region is irradiated with a laser beam 8, and an electrostatic latent image is formed. The latent image is carried to a developing and cleaning position facing a developing and cleaning device 4. A developer (toner) T is sent from the device 4 and the electrostatic latent image is reversely developed. Toner 10 is rubbed by a blade 23 and the surface of the developing roller 10, and consequently a voltage is applied to the developing roller 10. The developed toner image is carried to a transfer region facing a transfer roller 5, and transferred to a sheet 17. The sheet 17 is sent to a fixing unit 21, fixed, and ejected. |
