<p>PURPOSE:To make the cross-sectional area of a nozzle part variable and obtain the excellent turbine efficiency by a method wherein a rod-shaped member is fixed on the top end of a scroll tongue part of a turbine housing, the section of said member is formed in predetermined shape, then the rod-shaped member is rotated according to the operation condition. CONSTITUTION:A rod-shaped member 13 having predetermined sectional shape is arranged on the top end of a tongue part 12 of a scroll 11, engaged with parallel to the axis of a rotor 5 and in freely slidable manner through the one side of a housing 1. The sectional shape of the rod-shaped member 13 is formed with a round part 15 and a linear part 16. When a nozzle part 3 is formed with the linear part 16 by rotating the rod-shaped member 13, the cross-sectional grade of the nozzle part 3 is formed in smoothly continuous and no difference in level manner. At the side view of the rod-shaped member in this case, a concave part 17 is smoothly joined with the housing and adequate nozzle section is formed. Therefore, the nozzle section can be changed-over and the turbine capability can be varied.</p> |
