A prefabricated self-supporting partition has a thin core of concrete with a bilateral lining of adhesion promoters with embedded mats or grids of glass fibres or carbon fibres. The rigidity of the partition is increased by using prestressed mats or grids or by a central reinforcement. The partition (2) for tiles has a thin core (4) of concrete. The adhesion promoter layers (6,8) with the embedded mats or grids of glass fibres (10,12) are the foundation for the ceramic or stoneware tiles (14,16). The particles (2) is 1.8-2.5 cm thick. ADVANTAGE - This is much thinner than conventional tile partitions (the tiles are applied to it on site) and does not become distorted even when tiles are applied just to one side.
