A distributor unit for use in tele-communication applications has a series of spring contact elements (1) arranged in a line and located in a block (4). The side arms (7) of the U-shaped elements have slotted sections that cut through the insulation of connection wires (2). The centre section is formed in a tight, closed U-section that exerts high contact pressure against the inserted pin (3) of a switch unit. The pin locates in a formed guideway (6).
