PURPOSE:To securely prevent a developer from leaking from a gap by projecting a developer leak prevention member toward a restriction blade at the part of the peripheral surface of a developing sleeve where a developer quantity restriction blade abuts, and superposing the projection part on the restriction blade. CONSTITUTION:The leak prevention member 9 is provided with a projection part 9a on the side of the restriction blade 11 so as to securely prevent a developer from leaking from both side parts of the restriction blade 11 at an opening part facing the image carrier 1 of the developing device. The projection part 9a is provided to the leak prevention member 9 so that is projects toward the side of the restriction blade 11 at the part of the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 8 where it abuts on the restriction blade 11. The projection part 9a of the leak prevention member 9 fitted to the semi-arcuate internal wall part 10a in the developing chamber 7 is interposed between the internal wall part connecting with the internal wall part 10a in the developing chamber 7 and the restriction blade 11 in the developing chamber 7 at the part of the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 8 where the restriction blade 11 abuts, and both end parts of the restriction blade 11 securely prevents a developer from leaking from the gap by being superposed on the projection part 9a while clamped between the projection part 9a of the leak prevention member 9 and the developing sleeve 8. |
