Polymeric protection of walls of fluid separator - in which diffusion through walls by aggressive fluids is prevented by polyethylene lining embedded into walls by projections

A separator for thin fluids must have walls which are not damaged or penetrated by aggressive fluids within the waste water. Present coatings do not always give the necessary protection to the concrete or cast iron walls of the separator. Better resistance to diffusion is provided by lining the walls (1) of the separator with a polymer film (8) of a desired thickness. The film (8) has a series of projections (9) on the rear face which are embedded into the wall of the separator. The film (8) is normally mfd. in polyethylene. USE - For lining the walls and base of a fluid separator to prevent aggressive fluids diffusing out into the environment.
