PURPOSE:To perform correction so as to reduce the malfunction of color balance of the color images of plural pictures by detecting the color balance of the plural pictures stored in an image storage means, and correcting the color balance for plural images based on the color balance. CONSTITUTION:A digital color image is read with a color reader 1 arranged at the upper part of a color image processing system, and the digital color image is printed with a color printer 2 arranged at the lower part of the system. Also, an image storage device 3 stores the digital color images from the reader 1 and a film scanner 34, etc., and the color balance of the color image is detected with an original scan unit 11 unified with a color sensor 6 and a sensor output signal amplifier circuit 7, etc., arranged at the reader 1. The correction of the color balance is performed on the plural color images with a video processing unit 12 based on detected color balance, and the correction is performed so at to reduce the malfunction of the color balance of the plural color images. |
