<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the sensitivity of a subject's perception of vibration, for example an audiometer. It comprises: a vibration emitter (1), signalling means (2) activated by the subject when the detection threshold is exceeded, an electronic processing unit (3) which memorizes the frequency and level of vibration each time a subject's detection threshold is exceeded and controls the frequency and level of the vibration emitted. According to the invention, the processing unit (3) explores a vibration reference level by a frequency sweep, then searches for detection thresholds corresponding to vibration levels which are different to the reference level by means of a series of iterative sweeps.</p> |
