Motor vehicle diesel IC-engine fuel tank - has depression in base of tank with run-off valve and filter

The fuel tank has a bottom depression at its deepest point. The depression (18) is fitted with a runoff valve (24). The tank (10) has a fuel suction offtake device (14) clear of the depression. This is joined to a fuel suction line (supply 16). The depression can be provided with a filter over the outlet. USE/ADVANTAGE - Diesel fuelled vehicles. Tank bottom depression takes water separating out of fuel before injection, with water tap valve when needed.
