Release of ingots or pigs which have adhered together due to pressure and temp., at the outlet of a side discharge reheating furnace for a rolling mill is affected by simultaneously subjecting the ingot to be ejected to an ejecting force from a driven rod and subjecting the next succeeding ingot to the action of a stop device, producing a reaction in the opposite direction to the force exerted by the driven ejector rod on the ingot to be discharged. |
