PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of stably leading out laser light of constant wavelength and high output while requirement for miniaturizing a device is satisfied, by providing a thermoelectric element for cooling a solid-state laser crystal and a controlling means controlling the current of the thermoelectric element so as to keep the solid-state laser crystal at a constant temperature. CONSTITUTION:In a solid-state laser device having a solid-state laser crystal 3 which is pumped by a specified pumping source 2 and outputs laser light 7, the following are provided; a thermoelectric element 10 for cooling the solid- state crystal 3, and a controlling means 11 controlling the current 1 of the thermoelectric element 10 so as to keep the solid-state crystal 3 at a constant temperature. For example, a thermoelectric element 10 is stuck on the surface of the solid-state laser crystal 3. Said element absorbs the heat generated in the solid-state laser crystal 3 or gives heat to the crystal in response to the flowing current I. The amount of heat to be absorbed and the amount of heat to be given are changed so as to be proportional to the value of the current I made to flow. Control based on the laser output P or the detected value of temperature of the solid-state laser crystal 3 is performed by a thermoelectric element controller 11. |
