PURPOSE:To extend the non-offsetting temp. range of a toner for hot roll fixing and to improve the fixing strength by adding wax having polar groups having a specified acid value and/or a specified hydroxyl value when polyester resin is used to produce the toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner is produced by coating core particles consisting of polyester resin for fixing and wax having polar groups with resin coating layers. The polar wax used has polar groups having a specified acid or hydroxyl value and the softening point of the polyester resin is higher than that of the polar wax. The melt viscosity eta(100) of the toner at 100 deg.C measured with a flow tester is 1.5X10<6>-5X10<4> P, that eta(110) at 110 deg.C is 6X10<5>-2X10<4> P and the value of eta(100)/eta(110) is 2-4. The toner for hot roll fixing has a wide non-offsetting temp. range and superior fixability. |
