PURPOSE:To vary duty of printing when a power source circuit is overheated by controlling the duty of printing upon reception of an overheat alarm signal for detecting the overheat of a component in the power source circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the overheat of a component in a power source circuit 1 is detected by an overheat detector and an overheat alarm signal is output, a controller 3 receives its signal, and outputs a control signal to a printing mechanism 5. The printing duty of the mechanism 5 is alleviated by the control signal. When the overheat of the circuit 1 is recovered and the signal is turned OFF, the controller 3 again returns the printing duty to the original. As described before, this printer is composed of the power source circuit having a relatively smaller capacity than normal necessity by the constitution of the power source circuit having an overheat alarm signal outputting function, and the controller for controlling the duty of printing by the overheat alarm signal. |
