PURPOSE:To enhance silver salt photograph-like gloss on image receiving paper for thermal transfer recording by providing an image receiving layer composed of an ultraviolet curable resin based on a specific epoxy acrylate oligomer on the base material of the image receiving paper. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet curable resin composition based on a polyurethane acrylate oligomer represented by formula I (wherein R1 is an acryloyl group or CH2=CH-COO-, R2 is H or CH3, X is a diisocyanate component, Y is a glycol component and Z is a polyol component) and a photopolymerization initiator are diluted with a solvent to prepare a coating solution. This coating solution is applied to the base material of image receiving paper and dried to form an image receiving layer 3 and, thereafter, an ink ribbon substrate 4 for thermal transfer recording, an ink layer 5 and a thermal head 6 are provided thereon to obtain image receiving paper 1 for thermal transfer recording. |
