<p>Each band in the weft inserter is provided with a longitudinal series of slots and a corresp. tooshed wheel which engages in the slots. In oscillating toothed segment drives tooth a wheel and along its central line has a slot coupling including a slider which ensures articulation in time with the head of a connecting rod of a connecting rod/crankshaft mechanism driven by a shaft on the loom, and with the pivot of a rocker which follows the oscillation of toothed segment. The second pivot is supported by a slider which can be fixed along a guide at different distances from pivot of toothed segment so that is turns through different angles when rocker is displaced.
